如何挑选正确的电缆束带? 它们的应用及用途为何?


电缆扎带有许多种类的类型，绝对不是只有一般的尼龙6,6束带。
 
大多数电缆扎带由美国杜邦公司于1937 年发明的Nylon® 制成。 Nylon® 是全球使用最广泛的合成热塑性塑料之一，具有高强度、高尺寸稳定性和高耐磨性。
 
在第二次世界大战1939-1945年间，因为航空燃气涡轮发动机的发明，加速了喷气式飞机的应用及产量呈指数增长，由于喷机式飞机有不同的接线要求，以及在战争期间对于飞机需要快速且大量的维修，电缆扎带的设计应该是在这段时间被发明的。为了在短时间内修复这些飞机，和捆绑飞机的大量且冗长的电线，类似卷发器概念的自锁式束带被用在紧固和捆绑电缆电线，并缩短了整理线缆的时间，和防止工人装配线路时因大量的捆绑导致的手部长茧或受伤。
 
在1955年Kurt Robel在法国提交了尼龙扎带的专利文件(FR1126581A)，1958年Maurus C Logan发表的专利文件也描述了这个概念(US3022557A)。
 
1955年越南战争开始，除了军用飞机，愈来愈多的民用客机的加入，以及即时空军基地(portable instant airbases)，飞机的预先接线因应现场快速的即时组装需求。冷战期间除了飞机，太空竞赛，导弹、卫星和航天器的制造，甚至是电脑，使用了更加复杂且广泛的布线，电缆的安装和管理也变得更加重要且普遍。
 
最普遍的莫过于尼龙6,6材质的束带，它们就像是一种全能型的产品，它们有不同的长度、宽度、拉力、机械结构设计及颜色等。在生活中透过扎带将电线和电缆捆绑在一起，能保持它们的有序性，并防止电线或管路损坏，导致电线走火的风险。
 
而不同材质的束带，有不同的特性，在不同的产业中发挥不同的用途。像是在极端寒冷气候、极端严峻气候、极端化学物质环境、沙漠和特殊的产业，一般的尼龙6,6在这些特殊环境可能会因为无法适应温度的变化、化学的特性等，而发生断裂或疲乏。举例来说，如果需要抗紫外线的束带解决方案，你可以选择尼龙6,6耐候型材质的束带，或者选择尼龙12材质的束带，这将可以更好的在户外环境使用，甚至是用于沙漠及太阳能案场的应用。另外，带有金属成分的扎带专为食品和制药行业设计，以支持质量保证，例如HACCP。金属颜料可通过标准设备检测，有助于降低污染风险。为了便于目视检测，这些电缆扎带通常为蓝色。
