What is ship certification?
For ships, grading according to the requirements of the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS).
For the product, it is assessed whether the product is suitable for use on ships according to the standards specified by each Classification society.
Certification application:
- Product Testing: Entrust an authorized third-party laboratory to conduct testing, and the testing method will refer to the "UL/IEC Certification Case Evaluation Method". During the test, the engineer of the certification organization will monitor the whole process to ensure that the method meets the standard requirements.
- Factory Audit: The manufacturing plant and the headquarters are subject to audit. The content of factory audits is related to incoming materials, manufacturing, quality control, and shipments; the headquarters audit non-production-related processes.
The certification organization will issue the certificate and conduct regular audits and inspections when passing the certification.

The International Association of Classification Societies (IACS) was established on September 11, 1968, in Hamburg, Germany.
The International Association of Classification Societies is a non-governmental organization that cooperates with classification societies of various countries to pursue global ship safety and clean marine environment using technical support, testing certification and development research. More than 90% of the world's ships carrying cargo are carried by ships designed, built and certified by the association to meet the safety standards and maritime regulations set by the association. In January 2011, its members have included the world's twelve largest marine classification societies.
