What is Halogen Free?

What is California Proposition 65 (CA Prop 65)?

California Proposition 65 (California Proposition 65 / CA Prop 65) is officially known as the "1986 Drinking Water Safety and Toxic Substances Enforcement Act". The legislation is designed to protect Californians and drinking water sources from chemicals that may cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm.

The Act requires the Governor of California to publish a list of chemicals known to be carcinogenic and/or reproductive toxicants determined by the California government. What are conflict minerals?
