WHY METAL POWDER IS ADDED TO THE CABLE TIE AND IT NEEDS TO PASS METAL DETECTOR TEST?

• In the manufacturing process or cleaning process of food, beverages, and medicines, the cable ties used to bind, fasten, and protect the cables and wires on processing machines may loosen during processing and enter the food or beverages. They must be quickly detected and removed.

HOW DOES THE METAL DETECTOR TEST WORK?

1. Cut 3 mm piece from the head, body and tail of a cable tie as test samples.
2. Put one piece of sample on a Styrofoam with a thickness of 25 mm and pass it through the metal detector.
3. The cable tie is deemed to pass the test if the samples from its head, body and tail are all detected by the metal detector.
